It’s finally December, and it’s that time of the year again.
And no, we’re not talking about Christmas – although it’s beginning to look a lot like that as well.
We’re talking about the iconic, tiresome, late-night talks on fishing quotas that take place in Brussels every December.
A couple of years ago, the Austrian EU ambassador was wondering on Twitter
how, of all the topics discussed at the Council, it is always fisheries
that lead to all-nighters (the fact he is from a land-lock country did
not help with his amazement). (...)
