The EU Council, Parliament and Commission reached a political deal on the Path to the Digital Decade on Thursday (14 July).
The European Commission proposed the policy framework last September as a tool to support the national governments in their efforts to reach the Digital Decade targets, a set of objectives for the digital transition related to skills, infrastructure, technology uptake and e-governance to be reached by 2030.
“This programme will contribute to a modern, competitive, digitised,
prosperous and educated society and to well-targeted digital
transformation,” said Ivan Bartoš, the Czech deputy prime minister for
digitalisation. (...)
